BCU Soccer vs. Upper Iowa

The CSN staff will be blogging throughout today's non-conference season finale with Upper Iowa, at BCU's Faber Field.

1:40- There is a cold mist falling as the teams are warming up. It's a cold, windy day as well... the field is wet, but has held up well with all the rain... this was the wettest October in Sioux City's history.

2:01 - The game has begun.

2:09 - There is 36:26 left in the first half and Upper Iowa leads with shots, 2-0.

35:45 - Shot on goal for Upper Iowa, giving BCU goalie Kyle King his first save on goal of the game.

34: 23 - Shot for Upper Iowa, Derek Oelmann.

32:27 - James Bills had a nice cross across the front of the goal, but unfortunately there was noone there to finish it.

29:16 - Shot on goal for Upper Iowa, Jason Olsgard.

17:21 - The Peacocks of Upper Iowa have outshot the Chargers so far in this match, 11-1.

5:43 - Briar Cliff player Tim McKean scores off a pass from Andrew Knowles.

4:12 - Yellow card for the Chargers, Andrew Knowles.

Halftime - The Chargers are winning 1-0 at the end of the first half.

2nd Half:

36:06 - The rain has now started to turn into snow here in Sioux City, IA

78:37 - Yellow card was given to Derek Beisner for the Chargers.

83:08 - GOAL! for Upper Iowa, Derek Oelmann.

83:34 - Yellow card given to James Bills for the Chargers.

90:00 - We will be heading into overtime as the score is 1-1.

100:00 - There was no goals during this overtime, therefore we will be going into second overtime. The total shots for each team are Briar Cliff 16, Upper Iowa, 29.

101:38 - The Peacocks win the game in double overtime with a goal by Steve Kluck, assisted by Marco Garcia.
